It’s just hard to see a friend hurt this much. Especially when you can’t do anything except “be there.”

the problem with people is that they always think differently. first of all we aren’t scared of love but scared of putting up with what happens when you give it to people, whether they give it back or they give it away. we aren’t scared of getting attached to people because ‘they might leave’. what we are scared of is the detachment to them because that’s what hurts. 

we must realize that love doesn’t hurt us. yes, it might make us do things impulsively. but the brain is the one who makes decisions not the heart, maybe that’s why we always blame the heart for getting hurt because the brain was smart enough to make it seem like the heart didn’t hear it out, when in fact, all the heart did was to feel and to love and everything else was controlled by the mind. 

we hurt because we take the risk, because we love. and even when we always put the blame on love, it is still the most wonderful thing anyone can give and anyone can get.
